IZEGEM – Christof Vermeersch partially opens up the shareholding of House of Boards. With top entrepreneur and manager Patrick Van Lijsebetten, he brings proven added value on board. House of Boards is a new and exciting network that groups 145 seasoned entrepreneurs who, on an ad hoc basis, offer their accumulated expertise to companies in need of it.
Patrick Van Lijsebetten becomes co-shareholder and director. He signs for a minority stake. The majority remains in the hands of founder Christof Vermeersch, who until now held the full hundred percent.
With more than 35 years of experience in B2B industry, engineering, executive leadership, corporate governance, and executive search, Patrick Van Lijsebetten brings exceptional added value to accelerate the growth and professionalization of House of Boards (HoB). He is an engineer by training (KU Leuven, 1980) and has deep-rooted industrial expertise. “Thanks to a four-decade career in technically intensive environments, production companies, and industrial transformation projects, he understands the operational, organizational, and strategic challenges of companies like no other,” says Christof Vermeersch. “His technical background forms a solid foundation for his vision on innovation, strategy, and governance.”
In 2001, Patrick took the step into entrepreneurship and founded an Executive Search boutique, specializing in engineering and senior management profiles. This unique combination—engineer, industrial leader, and talent expert—makes his contribution particularly valuable for House of Boards. Van Lijsebetten also has an extensive international network, which can be very useful in his new role.
Multidisciplinary Discipline
House of Boards took root in West Flanders but is increasingly spreading its wings across the entire country. According to founder Christof Vermeersch, the organization and network are now also ready to establish ‘antennas’ abroad, initially in neighboring countries.
House of Boards currently has more than 50 active projects and a community of over 145 members. Candidates eligible for membership in the HoB Community can apply via an application link, followed by a careful selection and onboarding process. Through this method, the network is further enriched with strategic talent, C-levels, investors, entrepreneurs, and academics.
The HoB Community consists of C-levels in top positions, investors, entrepreneurs, and academics, allowing companies to rapidly receive insights and 360° expertise ‘from stock’. In concrete terms, SMEs can call upon the multidisciplinary discipline of people with extensive experience and expertise through House of Boards.
